Career Readiness

The SOI assessment is invaluable in the career counselling process. By providing solid information and feed-back on a person’s current abilities, SOI career counselling builds self-esteem, prevents a person from setting themselves up for failure by providing realistic expectations, offers a process through which positive change is effected.

Retraining Programs

Traditionally, training and retraining programs usually have very uneven results. Some of the clients benefit from the training immediately and are ready for placement; others require considerably more instructional time. Some clients, even with extensive instruction, never qualify for placement, while others benefit so little from instruction that they are dropped from the program.

How can training programs deal with the non-qualifiers? The answer is to find out why the non-qualifiers do not benefit from the instruction. Recently the IPP program has provided this kind of diagnosis and remediation. In B.C.
