Early high school is an appropriate time for career counselling. Based on the results of their abilities profile, students have lots of time to build on strengths as well as undeveloped areas. Focussing on specific career goals provides motivation to strengthen the areas needed for success in a particular career.

How can students increase their potential to be successful in a specific area? They can improve their abilities through an SOI developmental program:

• To build undeveloped abilities.
• To enhance gifted areas and higher thinking skills such as critical thinking, decision-making, systems analysis, cause/effect reasoning and creativity.
